Get the Running Teaching Techniques for your Greatest Race! My Running Teaching

ON THE INTERNET RUNNING COACH

Dear Fellow Runner:

Up to several years ago, my running teaching was only like everybody's. And I had been struggling with consistency in my racing. And it only seemed I was getting slower. I attributed it to age for a lengthy while however I truly wondered if this was it.

So I began looking at my teaching and racing more closely to see precisely what I needed to work on. I became a guinea pig of sorts, not unlike what the famous coach, Arthur Lydiard had done. I fully analyzed my system. Then it became clear, a light bulb went on! Running teaching finally began to create sense. The bottom line: I eventually worked it out: I was with the gray matter which resided between my ears, I was RUNNING SMART.

I then implemented my plan. I had only turned 45 years of age and only finished a 5K race and nearly PRed with a time of 17:25. My greatest time was 16:57 when I was 28. Not bad! Then a month or so later, I nearly PRed in the 10 mile with a time of 60:36 only 30 seconds off my greatest time, again at 28. I was amazed! I then implemented the system with the high school cross country system I coached. Over the following six years our teams went on to win 2 state championships, numerous invitationals and several all state runners passed through the system. It was obvious teaching and racing amongst RUNNING SMART principles I created was working!

So I recommend you to join this system either by purchasing the Running Smart Electronic book or receiving a customized running system based on your goals and aspirations. I guarantee these principles is guaranteed to succeed for anybody!

2 BIGGEST MISTAKES FOR THE MAJORITY OF RUNNERS

1. NOT TEACHING SMART

  • Doing All Runs TOO HARD or TOO SIMPLE

  • Getting the Rests all Wrong in Intervals

  • Not Getting "FIT"

2. NOT RACING SMART

  • Going too FAST from the start

  • Not Learning the course prior to racing

Why do we make these mistakes? For the reason that we are not utilizing our brains! We're only running with no plan and with no thinking.

RUNNING SMART TESTIMONIALS

"I agree that he (Brandon) could have given them (first heat) an incredibly great run for the gold (AAU National Championship, 800 Meters). As it was, there was many buzz after his race of how strong he finished and looked, and the way it would have been great to see him in the quick heat.

Our family wants to thanks very much, as your input was very valuable in Brandon's success. You're able to be certain that Brandon immediately believes in your smart run philosophy and I should admit he surprised even me, he worked even in practices very hard to carry out it, remembering he is still just 8."

Jorge, Florida

"I really appreciate it a lot for the version of the e-guide, Running Smart. I've truly enjoyed studying it. I've a senior son and a freshman daughter who do cross country and also run the 800 and 1600 in track. This material shall be invaluable in their teaching."

Brent Gerrard, Wyoming

"I began running seriously at the finish of 2004, only after my 40th
Birthday and after a 19 year layoff! I got in touch with Josh Scully
in August 2005 and at that time I was running about 35 miles a week and having a number of domination in local road races. The teaching I had been doing was a hodgepodge of stuff I had done in High School also including 'newer' ideas I had read about from the Daniels Running Formula. I did not feel like I was rather clicking on all cylinders though so I asked Josh to provide me a number of advice for harder workouts. The interval
workouts he passed on to me that fall were similar to a combination of threshold and Vo2 max workouts -- i.e. long reps with very brief breaks. I would start slow (i.e. 15K race pace) and gradually work my way down till I was doing the last couple at 5K pace or slightly quicker. Doing these workouts got me truly fit and also taught me the way to race smarter. In my greatest 5K last fall I ran a 17:52 going 5:54, 5:54 and then low 5:30's! It was incredible to enjoy the same exhilarating feeling of a negative split workout in a race. In April I asked Josh to begin giving me all of me workouts, which include amongst other things, progressive long runs, the main component of my teaching alongside the intervals with short rests. In these long runs I start slow and create in the middle prior to hitting the last 2 or 3 miles hard, once more conditioning my body for negative split races. I have lowered my 5K PR again to 17:41 -- this time with a 5:21 last mile -- in a race that I did not even taper for. Josh's workouts have me feeling super fit and I am looking ahead to a solid summer of teaching with more PR races to come."

Ben Szporluk, Cleveland, Ohio, Founder of BMLC Master Running Club

Scully helped "me reach the Promised Land with 2 state championships" during high school and helped me to truly love running.

Kris Brown, Washington DC

"Only read the first ~25 pages- pretty cool stuff. You definitely created a believer out of me and I am interested to study the remainder of this."

Christian Weder, Chicago

"Josh Scully's focus on key quality workouts on a weekly basis has made a large difference in my level of Runner and racing. Prior to I began working with Josh, my running was stuck in a rut. My weekly workouts consisted of haphazard slow distance runs with no true goal other than hitting certain mileage on a weekly basis. Josh's focus on quality, race-oriented teaching has energized my running. His wealth of experience is invaluable and the variety of his workouts keeps things interesting and fun. I greatly suggest his approach to running."

John Voorhees, Chicago, Illinois, Master's Runner

I read ..... Josh's Guide last night... I know we have been talking about this for months immediately, however I am only finally starting to gain get it. Thank you Josh, presented before you is an excellent resource!

Erik Fadiman, Seattle, Washington

You rarely do something in life which you're proud of, you only go from day to day existing. You certainly don’t wake up one morning and think “Today I may run a half marathon, only for enjoyment”. Well allow me to advise you, that's what I did with the assist of Josh. I genuinely believe that with no Josh’s assist and motivation I'd never have been able to carry out this. I am not an elite athlete, nor am I even a quick runner. In fact to carry out under a 6 min km is fast for me!!!! You'll never see my name in the record books and if I died tomorrow nobody in the running world would ask where I was. That only makes what Josh has done for me ever more exceptional. You see, Josh actually cares about individuals and wants to assist them. He is immediately my inspiration and motivation to continue with running. With Josh’s advice and support I'm competing in another half marathon in seven weeks time!!! So don’t hesitate any longer, provide Josh a go for the reason that I'm glad I did.
